EMR is the digital or electronic storage of
the medical records of patients. It contains
all details of a patient including his
demography, x-ray reports, MRI scans etc.
This eliminates the requirement of keeping
bulk paper records and makes the medical
records easily accessible to doctors even
after expiry of a long period of time.
